Spain Tax Brackets — 2026

Here is a breakdown of the 2026 personal income tax brackets for Spain, shown in EUR.

Taxable income Rate
€0 – €12,450 19%
€12,450 – €20,200 24%
€20,200 – €35,200 30%
€35,200 – €60,000 37%
€60,000 – €300,000 45%
Over €300,000 47%

How brackets work

A progressive bracket system only taxes the portion of income that falls inside each band at that band's rate — not your entire income at the top rate you reach. For example, if the first €12,450 of income is taxed at a lower rate, only income above that threshold is taxed at the next rate up.

Worked example: €35,200 income

  • €0–€12,450 at 19% → €2,366
  • €12,450–€20,200 at 24% → €1,860
  • €20,200–€35,200 at 30% → €4,500
  • Total estimated tax: €8,726 (24.8% effective rate)

This is the estimated tax before any deductions or credits are applied — see the deductions guide for what could lower this further. Run your own numbers with the calculator above to see exactly how much of your income falls into each bracket.

Always verify current-year brackets with Agencia Tributaria (AEAT) before filing.
